Симподиальный полукустарничек Silene jailensis состоит из моноподиально нарастающих многолетних побегов с однолетними генеративными побегами. Элементарный побег растения S. jailensis в климате Южного берега Крыма формируется иначе, чем аналогичный побег in situ. Причина – зависимость ритма развития элементарного побега от продолжительности вегетационного периода. В условиях более краткого вегетационного периода in situ годичный побег состоит из вегетативно-генеративной части предыдущего элементарного побега и вегетативной части последующего элементарного побега. В условиях вегетационного периода ex situ границы годичного и элементарного побега совпадают.

Sympodial half-shrub Silene jailensis consists of monopodial perennial shoots with annual flower stalks. Elementary shoot of plant Silene jailensis is formed in a different way in the climate of South Coast of the Crimea in comparison with the same shoot in situ. The cause is the dependence of rhythm development of elementary shoot from the length of vegetation period. In the conditions of shorter vegetation period in situ the annual shoot consists of vegetative-generative part of previous elementary shoot. In the conditions of vegetation period ex situ the annual and elementary shoots coincide in the bounds of increment.
